SNAP has evolved over the past 25+ years from a youth sports photography studio started by Alan and Robin Howe in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. In the beginning, the youth sports photography industry was in its infancy offering only the basic products of Memory-Mates and standard portrait photos. They were the first to introduce trading cards to youth leagues in 1981. In 1998, the Photo Marketing Association International invited a select group of leaders in various photography disciplines to participate in a symposium to address the challenges meeting photography in the upcoming millennium. Alan was honored to be chosen to represent the field of youth sports photography.
Alan’s approach to youth sports is firmly rooted in quality. Having studied with Master Photographer Craftsman Joe Zeltzman, Alan wanted to bring the attention to detail and skills of master photographers to the athletic field. Sports photography is Alan’s passion, not his job.
